Tongan Homestay was my first homestay and one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. You really feel at home there. Lehape and Pale are always on hand to answer any questions and offer help. I was picked up from the airport free of charge, had something to eat every day and shown to a lovely, clean room. Their two children Tatiana and Lengi are absolutely adorable and are always happy to see anyone. We went to church together on Sunday and afterwards had a traditional lunch on the farm. For my whale snorkelling trip, I was driven to the harbour at 6.30 am and picked up again in the afternoon. If you’re looking for a friendly, open-minded, warm and energetic family who can give you an insight into the traditional Tongan way of life, then Tongan Homestay is the perfect choice for you. You’ll feel very well looked after here, especially if you’re travelling alone or as a couple. I would recommend it to everyone!
