Tinopai Farm on the Lagoon
Tinopai Farm is our little corner of paradise on Tongatapu, an eight-acre estate set right on the edge of the lagoon. We are a working farm surrounded by over two hundred coffee plants and generous breadfruit trees, with the sea breeze and palms as our daily backdrop. It is a place where we grow, harvest and create, while welcoming visitors who want to see a different side of island life.
Our Coffee, Coconuts and Everyday Work
Every day on the farm is shaped by what the land gives us. We care for our coffee plants, tend to our trees and process a range of coconut products for export, including coconut oil, coconut cream and other fresh produce. Our goal is to keep things simple, honest and high quality, so that what leaves Tinopai Farm reflects the best of Tongatapu and its rich soil.
Kava Tours from Plant to Drink
We also love opening the farm to guests through our kava tours. These visits take you on the full journey, from seeing the kava plant in the ground, to watching it prepared and ground into powder, and finally sharing the drink itself. Along the way we talk about tradition, culture and the role kava plays in everyday life, so you leave with both an experience and a story to remember.
