In the southern part of 'Eua, you'll find an abundance of natural beauty, including the captivating Rock Gardens. Explore the rocky outcrops on the clifftops and look out for wild horses that are sometimes galloping across this wild terrain. From here, you can also gaze upon the Lakufa’anga Cliffs and witness a multitude of seabirds as they journey to and from their nesting grounds. To explore this area, you have the option to drive along well-established grass trails or take a leisurely walk.

Directions

The south coast of ‘Eua. Ask about island tours to the Rock Gardens with your accommodation or the Tourist Information Centre in ‘Ohonua (just up the road from the ferry terminal). Alternatively, this site is accessible via a high-clearance vehicle (like a Nissan X-Trail). Take 'Eua's main road all of the way south until you reach a gate that you’ll need to open (and close behind you). The road turns into well-established grass trails for vehicles to explore the area.
