A lesser-known natural wonder in the Lakufa'anga Cliffs area is the Bowl of Cliffs. Walk over the Lianga Hua 'a Maui Landbridge to access this alternative scenic spot boasting dramatic cliffs plunging into the rocky bay below. See the waves crashing against the distant walls in their persistent endeavour of erosion and marvel at the clifftop rock formations developed over millions of years. Rock climbers will also find some established routes in the area.

Directions

The south coast of ‘Eua. From the Rock Gardens, follow the grass trail east through a short tract of forest to a parking area where a sign indicates a short walk to Lianga Huo ‘a Maui. Instead of taking the Lianga Huo 'a Maui Landbridge walk to the viewpoint, follow the dirt road straight ahead, which takes you over the landbridge. You'll emerge from the bush with views over the Bowl of Cliffs.
